Looking beyond grapes to produce wines from berries, stone and tree fruit is what makes Sunnybrook Farm Estate Winery unique. Established in 1993, it is recognized as Canada’s original fruit winery and is situated in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
With a wonderful terroir that includes fertile soil with loam and sand deposits, this area produces a rich harvest of delicious fruits. With over 10 acres of fruit-bearing trees including cherries, nectarines, peaches, apples and pears, these orchards are a pretty sight. During fruit-bearing season, the place comes alive with various colours and the aromatic scents of juicy fruits. Traditional wine making and an innovative outlook have resulted in delectable drinks that give wine connoisseurs an exceptional experience. The winery produces fruit-based drinks including fruit wines and cider that are high on quality.
Wines produced here include the Estate Series which has the best fruit-based wines, the Chocolate Series that consists of dessert wines–a combination of dark chocolate and fruits, and the Ironwood Hard Cider that is an artisan blend of Ontario heritage apples.
