Pygmalion is one of George Bernard Shaw’s most popular works and has been adapted multiple times for the stage. It is the story of unkempt, uncouth flower-seller Eliza Doolittle whose life changes when she meets Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics. On the basis of a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering, Higgins takes up the challenge to transform Eliza into an elegant, well-spoken lady.
How refreshing it was to get a friendly voice, telling me the time of day, the weather forecast, etc. So much better than just a phone ringing. Thanks! Very nice touch to an already great hotel experience.
