The Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will host a Chris Young Concert. Chris has enjoyed phenomenal success over the past several years thanks to his rowdy party anthems like “Aw Naw” as well as his heartbreaking ballads such as “Tomorrow”. Chris’ talents will be on full display at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on January 27th, 2017 with tick prices starting at just $45.
Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on June 12th, 1985, Chris is the grandson of Louisiana Hayride performer Richard Yates, so performing is in his blood. Chris showed interest in music from a very early age and by high school was singing in the choir. By the age of 15, Chris was performing in the Winter Guard International Tournament in Ohio. He continued his touring during his college years, performing in over 150 shows every year. By 2005, Chris was a seasoned performer with plenty of experience in different music forms under his belt, including his appearance in “A Night at the Palladium” where he performed as a mariachi singer.

Chris’ career took off when he was encouraged to try out for “Nashville Star”, a talent show on USA Networks. He won the show in 2006 which earned him an RCA Records contract. His debut album appeared late the same year and featured the hit singles, “Drinkin’ Me Lonely” and “You’re Gonna Love Me” with both make the Top 50 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
By 2008, Chris had released the single “Voices” which managed to break into the Top 40 on the Billboard charts. This was followed by his second album, “The Man I Want to Be” which came out in September, 2009. It included a couple of cover songs, “Rainy Night in Georgia” by Tony Joe White and “Rose ‘n Paradise” by Waylon Jennings.

“The Man I Want to Be” produced Chris’ first #1 single on the Billboard Country Charts, “Getting’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” along with the title track and a re-release of “Voices” which also managed to reach #1 as well. Chris’ career was reaching new heights as he gained greater exposure for his work, including a Grammy nomination in 2010 for Best Male Country Performer with “Getting’ You Home”.
By 2011, Chris had released the single, "Tomorrow” which became a huge smash on the country charts. This was followed by his third album, “Neon” which boasted “You”, “I Can Take It from There”, and the title track which all reached #1 on the Billboard Country Charts. It was 2011 when Chris won the Breakout Country Artist of the Year Award.

In 2013, Chris released “Aw Naw”, a single which managed to reach #3 on the charts. That was followed by his fourth studio album, “A.M.” which boasted the single, “Who Am I With You” that garnered the #2 spot on the charts along with “Lonely Eyes” that also managed to reach the same spot. Chris’ current album “I’m Comin’ Over” whose title track reached #1 speaks to his current success which can be seen on full display January 27th, 2017 at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.
