A legend in the Italian pop music industry, Claudio Baglioni is an acclaimed singer and songwriter. Known for his enthralling love ballads, Baglioni started his music career during his teenage years and went on to achieve worldwide fame for his talent.
Claudio Baglioni Bio
His musical skills were first noticed at a talent hunt in his Rome neighbourhood in 1965. Just a year later he started pursuing a professional career in music. Signora Lia, and Interludio were among the first songs composed by Baglioni. This was in 1968 and by 1969 he bagged his first record deal with the Italian division of the RCA. The singer debuted with a self-titled album in 1970. Although sales were not that good, there was no doubt about his talent.
It was just a matter of time before the singer rose into prominence with this second album ‘Un cantastorie dei giorni nostri’. The album was popular but it was with his third album ‘Questo piccolo grande amore’ (This Little Big Love) that Baglioni truly made it big. The album’s first song by the same name became a huge hit in the Italian pop music scene and remains one of Baglioni’s best works. His voice also featured in the soundtrack of the movie Fratello Sole, Sorella Luna in 1972.
