On June 5th, 2015 Jerry Seinfeld will be performing his stand-up routine in only 20 minutes from the Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa, in the town of St. Catharines Ontario, Canada. This is a rare chance to see Jerry live & in-person.
Seinfeld’s Early Work
Born in Brooklyn New York, Jerry Seinfeld pursued comedy from an early age. Starting with college productions, Seinfeld began working the open mic nights of New York City. In 1976, after being spotted at the New York City’s to Catch a Rising Star event, Seinfeld got his first on screen appearance in the HBO Rodney Dangerfield HBO special. This led to a small returning role in the 1979 sitcom Benson, where he played the role of Frankie, a mail delivery boy. In 1981, Seinfeld landed an appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. After a stand-out set, Seinfeld became a regular, returning several times throughout the years.
Always working to improve his comedy routine, Jerry Seinfeld’s career took off shortly after he began working with Larry David on a TV pilot. With Jerry taking the lead role, Seinfeld would go on to become one of the most popular television shows ever created. During the 9 seasons the show ran, Jerry Seinfeld was responsible for creating some of the best known moments in television. The end result of his time on the show was international recognition as one of the funniest men alive.
Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee
Since the television series Seinfeld, Jerry has expanded across comedy circuits, TV shows, and movies. Starting on July 19th, 2012, Jerry would move on to his next popular show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Created as a web series for the digital network Crackle, the premise of the show involved Jerry picking up, talking to, and then getting coffee with notable comedians.
Just like any good comedy routine, one of the most notable parts of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is when the show diverges from its normal format. This has included some truly memorable moments like when Jerry Seinfeld joined guest Carl Reiner for dinner with Mel Brooks, as well as an episode when a car broke down.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is a continuation of the comedic brilliance Jerry Seinfeld has shown throughout his career. Relying on his own intelligence, charisma, and quick wits, Jerry shows episode after episode that he is not only relevant to what is going on today, but that comedy is still a powerful tool for dealing with everything from tragedy to joy. As of 2015, the show has seen more then 25 million streams. In addition, it has been extended by 4 additional seasons, bringing it to at least 9 seasons in length. Given what Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has already shown, we eagerly await to see what Jerry will be doing in the next season.
