An Eclectic Artist
By March 2008, Dusk announced the recording of his new album, Good News. The album was eventually released in October 2009, and in other regions by 2010 and 2011. The album featured Dusk's new musical direction, which vocally paid mind to swing/crooner jazz era with a contemporary flair. Good News collected a bevy of Dusk's original material and various top charting hits from around the world.
In 2009, his single 'Feels Good' was released as a remade and remixed dance single by electronic production duo, Stereo Martini. By September 2010, title track 'Good News' hit No. 1 on the French Europe 1 radio station's charts.
In March 2010, Dusk recorded the soundtrack for HBO TV series, Call Me Fitz; the series began airing in September of that year. The concert, recorded live at Las Vegas' Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino, was released in the rest of the world by 2011.
My Funny Valentine Album
In 2013, Dusk returned with a new release: his fifth studio album, My Funny Valentine: The Chet Baker Songbook. The album features an eclectic bevy of musical guests and performances by an eighty piece orchestra. Other musical guests include Arturo Sandoval, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Ryan Ahlwardt and Guido Basso.
The album pays extensive homage to famous trumpet player and singer, Chet Baker. The track list for the album heavily features standards as recorded or performed by Chet Baker, but with Dusk's own unique spin. Dusk went on record to say that it took him 'almost six months to select the songs for the album.'
By October 2013, My Funny Valentine: The Chet Baker Songbook officially went gold, Dusk's third gold album to date. By December, the album went platinum, granting Dusk his first platinum album.
Sometime during 2013, Dusk recorded a duet with recording artist Edyta Górniak. Their duet, 'All The Way,' reached No. 1 on Poland's Empik music charts.
