Niagara Falls now has its very own version of the hugely popular German Oktoberfest festival! The inaugural fest will take place on the main floor of the Scotiabank Convention Centre on October 14 and 15, 2016.

The festival will start with the keg tapping opening ceremony at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 14. The two day fest will be a celebration of all things German especially beer and food. To add to the fun, there will be live entertainment wherein some amazing music acts will spice up the festive atmosphere. It’s a must-attend event for beer lovers as it is an opportunity to enjoy authentic cold German beer, wine and cuisine. You can taste more than 20 German beers and wines on tap, and soak in the heady Bavarian atmosphere. Pair up the drinks with original German cuisine. Relish Pork Schnitzel and Chicken Schnitzel along with Keizer Bun, Beer Mustard and Braised Cabbage. Enjoy the flavours of a Beer-braised Oktoberfest Sausage, a Grainy Mustard & Fresh Sauerkraut or tuck into some German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Braised Red Cabbage and Homemade Soft Pretzels. There’s also live entertainment on Friday night in the form of professional performer George Kash while you can swing to the music of the Happy Wanderers on Saturday night.
A 19+ licensed event, Oktoberfest tickets can be purchased online as well as on-site (depending on availability). There are two types of tickets. The $20 per-day ticket on 14 and 15 October includes entry for the event, an official 17oz Niagara Falls Oktoberfest Stein, as well as four (4) beer sample tokens with which you can purchase beer. If you want to get a combined ticket for both days, you can buy the $45 two-day deluxe pass which has additional benefits. Other than entry, the pass entitles you to an official 34oz Niagara Falls Oktoberfest Stein, eight (8) beer sample tokens and an official Niagara Falls Oktoberfest Lanyard. There is also a provision for re-entry where you will be given a stamp if you want to leave the event for some time and then come back. The event timings are from 4:00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, and 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15.
Accessible washrooms are available on the main floor if you wish to take a restroom break. There is on-site parking as well at the Scotiabank Convention Centre for $5. Smoking is not allowed at the event but there is a separate smoking section outside the convention centre where you can go for a smoke and then re-enter the fest inside the centre.
