There are so many natural attractions and entertaining activities in Niagara Falls that you need a few days to enjoy at least some of them. With the upcoming Memorial Day extended weekend in the US between 27th and 29th May, visitors can cross the border to the Canadian side of the falls and celebrate their weekend here.
Experience the Falls
There are so many ways to experience the falls. Hornblower Niagara Cruises is all geared up for its cruises including The Voyage to the Falls. It takes you right past the American and Bridal Veil Falls and straight into the basin of the crescent-shaped Horseshoe Falls. You can also opt for the night-time Falls Illumination Cruise and Falls Fireworks Cruise. These 40 minute tours have an on board bar, snacks and music.
Another great way to encounter the falls is through the Journey Behind the Falls attraction at the Table Rock Welcome Centre in Niagara Falls. An elevator takes you 150 feet down to tunnels directly behind the massive Horseshoe Falls. From here you can go to two observation decks. The lower observation deck is really close to the falls and you can see the mammoth waterfalls and feel its spray.
