Connect with the best wine that Niagara has to offer at the annual Niagara Wine Festival running now for two weekends until September 24th. Stop by the historic Montebello Park in St. Catharines for an exciting festival that features a wide range of VQA wines, delicious regional cuisine from local chefs, and a great lineup of performances from local bands.
Movie Nights at Old Fort Erie
You can visit the historic grounds of Old Fort Erie every week until December 21st for exciting movie nights that feature amazing classics and new releases in a venue that’s unlike any other. Drinks, popcorn, and light snacks will be available to purchase and enjoy while you sit back and watch great movies like Planet of the Apes, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Shaun of the Dead, Elf, and more.
Coast to Coast: Canada’s Literary Women
Niagara Parks is hosting the Coast to Coast: Canada’s Literary Women speaker series on the first Thursday of each month from September to December, bringing incredible female literary voices from across Canada to the Laura Secord Homestead in Niagara on the Lake. Each event will feature wine and cheese, a lecture, and open discussion and will offer the chance to hear from Meredith Quartermain, Dawn Dumont, Cathy Marie Buchanan, and Jessica Grant.
Community Yoga Series
Get active while visiting Niagara Falls this fall and stop by the Niagara Falls History Museum on Lundy’s Lane for their upcoming Community Yoga Series. This free hatha yoga class is happening throughout October, November, and December and will be a relaxing and rejuvenating session that requires no previous yoga experience.
Shaw Festival Theatre
You can catch world-class theatre in beautiful Niagara on the Lake wine country at the Shaw Festival Theatre whose exciting 2017 season is on now. The current lineup of plays includes Me and My Girl, Saint Joan, Dracula, Wilde Tales, 1837: The Farmers’ Revolt, Androcles and the Lion, An Octoroon, The Madness of George III, A Christmas Carol, and more.
Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival
Ball’s Falls Conservation Area hosts an annual Thanksgiving Festival that offers fun for the whole family and is an event that will get you into the fall and holiday spirit. This year’s festival is running from October 6th-9th and will feature craft show and food vendors, live entertainment, and more.
Niagara Falls Oktoberfest
You won’t have to travel to Munich, Germany this year to celebrate the world-famous Oktoberfest festival because there are a number of great Bavarian-style festivities happening throughout the city this fall. On October 13th and 14th Scotiabank Convention Centre will be hosting an Oktoberfest celebration featuring delicious German fare like bratwursts and schnitzel and plenty of authentic German beer. And Niagara Brewing Company will be hosting their annual Oktoberfest party on September 30th featuring a range of great craft beers, tasty food, and live entertainment from The Happy Wanderers.
