Imagine a night tour of a cemetery that was once the site of a bloody battle! Drummond Hill Cemetery located atop a hill near Lundy’s Lane is the resting place of inhabitants who once lived in Niagara Falls as well as soldiers who died during the War of 1812. You can go on a thrilling guided tour of the cemetery in the days leading up to Halloween on October 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2017. The tour that takes place at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. involves a costumed guide who takes you around the cemetery grounds where you can watch stories of the past being played out in front of you. Scenes from way back in the time of people who once lived in Niagara Falls are staged by costumed performers. Recommended for ages 12+. Are you scared, excited or a bit of both?
Halloween in Niagara Falls is not just about spookfests, there are also fun events which you can enjoy irrespective of your age. Head to the 14th Annual Pumpkin Fest at the Heartland Forest to spend a wonderful day with your family and friends. The fest will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This annual fall festival has an excellent combination of fun activities for all ages including children, scrumptious food including desserts, and artisan vendors displaying a range of amazing products. There are plenty of interesting activities including Pumpkin Carving, Scavenger Hunt, Mini-putt, Train Rides, Games, Nature Walks, and more! All proceeds from the event will go towards funding worthy causes.
The Rocky Horror Show
If you enjoy stage musicals that are spooky comedies with marvellous music, then you must watch the Rocky Horror Show. Staged at the Oh Canada Eh? theatre at Lundy’s Lane, the show is the stage version of the musical comedy horror movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Meet a bunch of quirky characters such as Dr Frank ‘N’ Furter, Magenta, Riff-Raff and Rocky in this fascinating story. The rock n’ roll musical has some amazing songs as well including I’m Just a Sweet Transvestite and Time Warp. Watch this terrific adult-only show (18+) any day between October 27 and November 4, 2017. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween!
