March Break Activities in Niagara Falls

It’s time to rejoice because a mini-vacation is around the corner! March Break 2016 brings with it the possibility of lots of fun-filled activities. Have you planned anything yet? It’s the perfect occasion for families to spend some quality time together exploring various attractions around Niagara Falls, Ontario. You will be spoiled for choice so here are some great ways to spend the break.

Niagara Falls

What’s a trip to Ontario without visiting the world-famous Niagara Falls? There are so many places to view and experience the spectacular falls. You can go to Table Rock Welcome Centre for a range of activities related to the located adjacent to the Horseshoe Falls. It’s an up, close and personal look at the falls. For an aerial view head to the Skylon Tower or enjoy the sight of the falls from Queen Victoria Park. Night time offers splendid views of the illuminated falls along with a fireworks display over it. A perfect way to spend the night!

Clifton Hill

This tourist centre in Niagara Falls has some great attractions, especially for kids.

How about a ride aboard Canada’s largest observation wheel – the Niagara Skywheel? A ride that children will definitely enjoy if they like giant wheels. You’ll get to soar 175 feet above the ground and enjoy fantastic views during the 8 to 12-minute ride.

Another great place for family fun in this area is Adventure City Niagara Falls where you can play miniature golf, ride bumper cars, visit Iwerks 4D Motion Theatre and play arcade games with the chances at winning tickets and redeeming for prizes.

If you enjoy looking at life-like wax figures of famous personalities and fictional characters, head to Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks . There are over 100 wax figures in themed galleries including those of Michael Jackson, Harry Potter, Batman, Oprah Winfrey and Gandhi.

Fallsview Indoor Waterpark

125,000 square feet of fun awaits you at the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark which is just a couple of minutes from the Niagara Falls. Families can have a splashing time here. There are 16 waterslides, a massive 1000 gallon tipping bucket where you can get yourself soaking wet, outdoor activity pool and sundeck and a full-sized wave pool where you can float on the waves. Adults can swim in the pool or relax in the whirlpool hot tubs.

Other than these attractions, there are plenty of other things to do during your break. The Greg Frewin Theatre is the place to go for a spectacular magic show. You can also head to Bird Kingdom, a natural wonderland filled with exotic species of birds, mammals and reptiles. Crock A Doodle is for those interested in pottery and creating fun art. There are various other attractions along the Niagara Parkway which makes for a great drive with scenic views.
