Spring break is here! March is a great time for families with children to enjoy a relaxing and entertaining break from routine life. And Niagara Falls has plenty of options for you to have a great time. Besides the glorious waterfalls and other attractions related to it, Niagara Falls has a lot of activities and places which you can explore and experience.
Fallsview Indoor Waterpark
For a rollicking time in the water, head to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark located at Falls Avenue, a short distance from the waterfalls. Both children and adults can enjoy the experience here. There are 16 waterslides and a humongous 1000 gallon tipping bucket for a soaking wet time. Besides this, the waterpark has an outdoor activity pool and sundeck as well as a full-sized wave pool. Adults can enjoy a swim in the pool or relax in the warm water inside the whirlpool hot tubs.
Located at Falls Avenue Resort, this indoor amusement centre has more than 125 arcade style games. Spread over 17,000 square feet, the game centre also lets you redeem your game tickets for some great merchandise. Some of the exciting games here include the Bumper Cars, the only one of its kind in Niagara Falls. Experience the Adventure Heroes laser ride and enjoy a thrilling movie experience at the Iwerks 4D Motion Theatre. The theatre uses advanced technology, water jets and air blasters during adventure movies as well as children’s movies. You can have a good time at the Safari Mini Putt as well. Spring Break is a great time to visit Adventure City with the entire family.
Clifton Hill March Break Attractions
Situated at just a short distance from the falls, Clifton Hill has myriad activities for the entire family to enjoy. There are shops, video arcades, restaurants, museums, activities for children and entertainment hotspots here. Enjoy miniature golf in a pre-historic setting at Dinosaur Adventure Golf. Check out wax replicas of famous people at Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks or head to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum. One of the major attractions in Clifton Hill is the Niagara SkyWheel. Hop inside this giant Ferris wheel which takes you 175 feet above the ground for a joyride. Enjoy the spectacular sights as you go around for almost 10 to 12 minutes during the ride.
If you enjoy seeing these colourful winged creatures, head to the Butterfly Conservatory located on the Niagara Parkway. The 11,000 square foot glass-enclosed conservatory has a rainforest setting with over 2000 butterflies belonging to 45 different species. Watch the butterflies flutter all around you in the wonderful setting that also includes tropical plants and flowers, a pond, a waterfall and several pathways. Common Mormon, Blue Morpho, Monarch, Small Postman, Owl Butterfly, Sara Longwing and Banded Orange are some of the butterfly species found here. You can also watch butterflies take their first flight out of the pupae at the Emergence Window.
