Winter Festival of Lights
From November 18th to January 31st Niagara Falls is transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland during the city’s annual Winter Festival of Lights. The festival features an 8km illumination route through Niagara Parks landscapes, Dufferin Islands, and the city’s surrounding tourist district. This year’s incredible illuminations include the beautiful Zimmerman Fountain in Queen Victoria Park, 3-D Canadian wildlife displays, the world’s largest Canadian-American flag, over fifty trees in Dufferin Islands, an Inukshuk display, 3-D projection mapping show on Fallsview Boulevard, the lighting of the Canadian Niagara Power Plant, and more. There will also be weekly fireworks shows during the festival and nightly illumination of the Horseshoe and American Falls.
The festival’s opening ceremonies are taking place on November 18th in Queen Victoria Park, featuring live entertainment, a special flip the switch ceremony where the two million lights that make up the festival route are turned on, and breathtaking fireworks, so don’t miss out on this free and family-friendly event.

Christmas on Ice at Fallsview Casino Resort
Take in the beauty and wonder of world-class ice skating this holiday season at the Christmas on Ice Show at Fallsview Casino Resort. This unique holiday spectacle will be running from November 16th to December 3rd, bringing national championship ice skaters, dancers, and singers to the beautiful Niagara Falls.

Crazy for Christmas at Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Theatre
From now until December 23rd you can catch the fun and wacky Crazy for Christmas show at the Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Theatre in Niagara Falls. The show tells the story of an odd married couple dealing with the holidays and features Christmas carols and a ton of laughs. Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade
On Saturday, November 18th the city of Niagara Falls will be hosting its annual Santa Claus Parade beginning at 11 am. The parade will feature twelve amazing marching bands, stilt walkers, inflatable gingerbread men and snowmen, fabulous floats, and the grand finale with Santa Claus. During the parade the Salvation Army will be giving out free hot chocolate in Rosberg Family Park, there will be free face painting, balloons and caricatures near City Hall, Canada Post will be collecting letters to Santa along the parade route, Project Share will be collecting food donations, and Tim Hortons will be giving away free coffee, hot chocolate and lattes at the corner of Valley Way and Queen Street.

Niagara Falls Icewine Festival
Wintertime brings with it the production of Niagara’s world-famous liquid gold and this season you’ll be able to celebrate all things icewine at the Niagara Icewine Festival on January 26th & 27th at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. This event will allow you to sip and sample a number of amazing VQA wines from over 15 of Niagara’s best wineries and pair your wine with delicious culinary creations from some of Niagara’s top chefs.
